This Victorian Type A pillar box was donated to English Heritage by the Royal Mail to commemmorate the centenary celebrations of Queen Victoria's 1897 Diamond Jubilee. The box was manufactured by A. Handyside & Co. Ltd. of Derby & London, and is situated on the estate at Osborne House, Isle of Wight, run now by English Heritage.
